Stop Routing of Casino Traffic Down Staring Lane

Since the Bluebonnet extension is 30 mph through a new subdivision, it would appear our Metro Council members have determined instead to route casino traffic through the upcoming Staring Lane extension...

Pinnacle is required by the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development to spend about $3.5 million on expanding turn lanes and through lanes and improving intersections at Gardere and Nicholson, Gardere and River Road, Nicholson and Bluebonnet, Burbank and Bluebonnet, and Perkins and Siegen.  But widening Gardere is not required, Bruce says, and can’t be accomplished “without wiping out some homes and businesses.” He notes traffic from I-10 likely will be directed to the casino on Bluebonnet and Siegen.
