The Staring Road Project Does Not Seem to Have Adequately Considered the Impact to Bluebonnet Swamp

The Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center is located in the Bayou Fountain drainage basin, which flows to Bayou Manchac.  Bluebonnet Swamp is a 65-acre cypress-tupelo-maple swamp located on the west side of Bluebonnet Road, between Highland Road and Perkins Road, in the City of
Baton Rouge. The swamp has been identified as one of the state's best remaining natural areas and wildlife habitats.
